Congratulations to Dr. Sreenidhi Shukla - JGS Alumni! Let's hear her speak...

 

MENTAL HEALTH AND IT'S IMPORTANCE - JGS recognises the importance of Mental Health at every stage of our life. Taking an important step in this direction, the HSCP (Health Safety and Child Protection) segment of ISC organised an Inter-House Debate on 29th October 2022 the topic "Should mental health sessions be a part of the school timetable?". Eight students from the four houses participated and expressed their opinion. Rohini House emerged victorious. Congratulations to all the participants, judges and their teachers.

Teaching Biology in the Lap of Nature Students of Class XI-B were taken around the school campus to explore the variety of plants, modifications of roots, stems, leaves and their phyllotaxy. A little different than usual classes, this provided more clarity on theoretical concepts.

Johnson Grammar School, Mallapur hosted the University Education Fair 2022 – 23 at the school campus on Saturday, 3rd September where 31 universities, both National and International participated. This was organised to guide our senior school students to know better about their career prospects. Thanks to the Career Guidance Cell for this initiative! The event started with an inauguration programme followed by the announcement of the fair open by the Chief Guest. We thank our parents, students, all staff members of JGS and the representatives of the different universities for making the event successful.

A Moment of Pride It is with great joy we announce the participation of Aashrith Gade and Koushik Pandrapragada of Grade XII in the ASISC Debate at the National Level held at Lucknow on 27th September 2022. Topic: Traditional Learning System should be replaced by e-learning. Our students completed with the best in the country and emerged victorious. Aashrith won the First Runner up trophy for the Best Speaker. Wishing you both the very best in the events to come.

The Commfiesta an initiative of the Commerce Department of ISC, JGS Mallapur was a resounding success. An event organized to help students understand the importance and the vast dynamics of the fields of Economics and Commerce and give them a practical exposure. A variety of stalls from ones on insurance to government schemes, from gaming stalls to food stalls and the diya stalls on the occasion of Diwali added to the excitement and atmosphere of the school. The confidence and professionalism displayed by the students was infectious. Overall it was an event to remember. Besides the Commfiesta, JGS also hosted a career fair were four Universities and Colleges participated. • Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India • Tapasya College of Commerce and Management • K L University • Alliance University We thank the University representatives for this initiative.
